The Building Safety Bill receives Royal Assent

On 28th April, the Building Safety Act became law.

Amongst a raft of changes to building safety law, the legislation makes those responsible for historical safety defects responsible for funding the repairs.  If they refuse, the law gives the Secretary of State new powers to restrict companies from operating in the housing market.
