7th January 2021

Government announces reforms to make it easier and cheaper for leaseholders to buy their homes and to prepare homeowners and the market for the widespread take-up of commonhold. The changes will enable millions of leaseholders to extend their leases by a maximum term of 990 years at zero ground rent.

For more information on the reforms you can read the MHCLG press release or our advice guide.

LEASE is governed by a board, appointed as individuals by the Secretary of State for the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government.
